TOPIC: LIFE IN THE SPIRIT 

TEXT OF THE DAY: ROMANS 8 VS 13- 18

NOTE

Good Morning I greet you in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ and I Hope you Read and understand this Revelation of the word of God that God have for you.

Before we proceed lets pray

Abba Father we thank you for giving us the privilege to be in your presence at this hour, we worship you and adore you for your ceaseless mercies upon us, for many have died but we are not to mock them but to glorify you. Thank you for this Revelation that you have given unto us and that as we share may it dwell in us and take effect IN JESUS NAME we pray Amen.

Today we are going into life in the spirit as we have said earlier

What is life: Worldly definition: Life is the period during which a person is given birth to which means the person has began to breathe).

Life in Jesus: life in Jesus means eternal life which in turn means the nature of God in Man; the spirit of God in Man.

Do you know the reason why Jesus was in the world:

Jesus came to the world to do many things according to many chapters in the bible( John 10:10) but we are going to look into these Hebrews 2 vs 15; Jesus came to the world to free those who all their lives were held in slavery by their fear of death. Therefore Jesus was in this world because of Man and not angels to confirm check VS 16.

Now do you know that you cannot be held captive by fear of death anymore?

You might be wandering why? Its because of Jesus death.

Now we look into the significant of Jesus death

There are many significance of the Death of Jesus but there’s this that is very important which is that death has no power to hold you again. In the book of Acts 2 vs 24 it says that God had raised Jesus from the dead freeing him from the agony of death because it was impossible for death to hold him.

Note this word “IMPOSSIBILITY” it shows that it was impossible for death to hold Jesus captive.

Now life in the spirit,

Lets look at our Text Romans 8 vs 13-18

If you live according to the flesh, you will die but if you live according to the spirit you put to death the deeds of the flesh which automatically you will live.

You can only be qualified to be amongst the children of God if you live according to the Spirit.

The spirit of Christ that you have received does not make you slaves to fear of death but it brought about your adoption to sonship; which means that when you live by the spirit we are sons of God.

Now that we are children of God we are heirs of Christ which means we share in his suffering in other that we may share in his glory.

The present suffering cannot be compared to the glory that would be revealed in us.

You might be wandering how can you live in the spirit in other to gain all this benefits.

Now you can be a part of God when you obey him, how can you obey.

But how can you obey him when you don’t know what he said; in other to know what God said you have to read his word which is the Bible. Not just reading but understanding it bit by bit.

You can always be with God when you always communicate with him; how do you communicate?

You can communicate by Prayer. Always pray he hears you.

Now to round this up you have to know that God is calling you unto him to be his Son that’s why he came to die for all Mankind in other to free us from the fear of Death.

Please lets all try to walk in these paths so we would be glad to see God when we are returning to him.

Because if you don’t know him and talk to him and walk in his ways how can he welcome you on the last day.
